Season Six-b (Agent of the Time Lords)
These stories happen between the Doctor's trial and his exile to Earth. He is given a temporary reprieve and sent on missions by the CIA. Jamie and Zoe have their memories wiped and are returned to their native times. Several fans have proposed this interlude to explain certain aspects of The Five Doctors and The Two Doctors. In the first, the second Doctor remembers events from The War Games. In the second, he is sent on a mission by the Time Lords, and is able to control his TARDIS. None of these facts fit the Second Doctor's era. It was finally made official in Players and World Game.
