History

Clive spent a good portion of his life tracking down information on appearances of the Doctor throughout history. In 2004, he tracked down a photo in the Washington Public Archive showing the ninth Doctor in the crowd at the assassination of John F Kennedy.[2] His website eventually attracted the attention of Rose Tyler, who had recently encountered the ninth Doctor. She visited him and told her a lot about the Doctor, some of which she didn’t believe.

The night after Rose’s visit, Clive and his family were doing some late night shopping in Queen’s Arcade when the shop dummies (actually Autons) came to life under the control of the Nestene Consciousness. Clive was one of the first casualties of their attack.[3]

Abilities

Clive had a talent for discovering information about the Doctor, and enough knowledge about computers to put together a website.[4]

Other Information

Clive posted some of his information about the Doctor on his website, but kept the vast majority in his garden shed. His collection of information about the Doctor included pictures of the ninth Doctor in the crowd at the assassination of John F Kennedy, the ninth Doctor with the Daniels family of Southampton in 1912, shortly before the Titanic set sail, and a picture that washed up on a beach in Sumatra the day Krakatoa erupted.[5]
